Aspen’s motivation was to keep his land. Well-To-Do was encroaching on his sovereign territory.
Gloriosa wanted to keep the camp that had been in her family for generations. She doesn’t give a crap about the forest, just the camp itself.

When the girls get to camp, they discover they have new powers (super speed, levitation, etc.) While everyone else is happy, Twilight is terrified she’ll turn back into Midnight Sparkle; Sunset is suspicious of Gloriosa Daisy.
Currently, Gloriosa has transformed into a demon who has encased the entire camp in a dome of vines. Twilight and Sunset have arrived to help their friends fight her. Gloriosa is under the spell of seven crystals embedded with magical properties from the Fall Formal.
By this point, they could form a nice Eco-Terrorist Power Ranger group.
Hell, they even have a Megazord in the form of Animus!
