Nah, this movie was made somewhere between the late 70’s to early 80’s so it’s not too surprising that not many people know about it.
 
The movie’s plot is this: It takes place in New Zealand (like a lot of his movies) and this small hamlet town gets invaded by aliens that harvest humans for a chain of intergalactic fast food resturants. So the prime minister…? sends in this special task force/doomsday squad that consists of 3 guys (it could be 4 I haven’t seen the movie in some time) to erradicate the aliens before they harvest the rest of Earth’s population. Peter Jackson himself plays the guy with the scarf and basically to some up his character in this movie he’s kinda like Kenny from South Park.
 
Like I said before it’s not a movie to be taken seriously, I liked it just for how goofy and oddball it was.

I’ve never seen Bad Taste, so I assumed it was Twilight cosplaying as Harry Potter D:

Bad Taste one of Peter Jackson’s earliest movies. I only know this beacause my brother has it on dvd. I think he made this one before Dead Alive. Anyway, it’s not one of those movies to be taken seriously, it’s actually a laugh riot Peter Jackson himself is just hillarious in this character.
