Seeing this I keep thinking of what if Cadence were to go a different route and ride a rare 1970s Cadillac Wagon with engine and transmission upgrades like the Bluesmobile. Now that sounds great to me. Only thing, it would have to get over 30 MPG HWY which is completely doable.

Have been. Local listings, college’s hiring program, monster, etc. Two interviews for sales positions which would exclusively pay a 1099 self employment which is not even remotely sustainable unless you’re the sort of person who can aggressively make those kinds of sales, and a semi-illegal maneuver from AirBnB where upon applying for an accounting position with them, they had a renter mail me their payment in my name for me to remit to the landlord (protip: this is super shady, possibly illegal.) without my permission, so I noped the fuck right out of that. Haven’t heard back from anyone else.

You look and say, “we only have enough resources for X billion! We can’t handle more!”
 
But completely fail to realize that people make what is needed to survive.
 
Overpopulation is not an actual issue - the issue is an inappropriate allocation of resources - that people struggle to make the world grow with them. Simply put, more people need to start businesses, and governments need to be better suited to allow businesses to grow. The vast majority of food grown in the U.S. is given to livestock, and we’re still using basic techniques for growing food. If food were seriously an issue, then its price would go up, and farmers would be able to afford fancier equipment to grow more.
 
Simply put, technology has always allowed populations to grow massively - the industrial revolution saw an unprecedented explosion in human population. The greatest cities of the ancient world had 2-3 billion people and made legends. Now, that is the norm for a big city, and there are many, many, many, even in the U.S. which only has some-odd 5% of the world’s population.
 
The world population is actually capping off, though, look here for sources for all of my claims, and feel free to look up others - I’m confident enough in my statements that you should find a consensus in agreement.
 

 
And here’s the thing about making people - if you don’t, other people will. People who don’t value education, who aren’t smart, and religious radicals who want to behead gays for being born gay, populate at phenomenal rates - 5 or more kids per individual, often more.
 
If you don’t populate at the same rate, then they will inherit the Earth, and ideologies of violence, discrimination and hatred will be humanity’s future. You shouldn’t just have children, you have a duty to everything you hold dear to have as many as possible.
