Must be something in the water.
Difference between her and those other two is that her species is not presented as being inherently incapable of compassion and companionship as a group. In fact, only Griffonstone Griffons seem to get this treatment. Griffons in Equestria seem perfectly normal. Which really makes me think magic is involved.
