In a world where Celestia and Luna switch roles… I made this for my version of the Power Ponies universe, but she could also exist in an AU of her own. Maybe if I get tired of Power Ponies I’ll stick her in a universe with the next-gen OCs I doodled a while back. Anyway:

Since the concept of Celestia and Luna switching roles is often done, I toyed with the design a bit to avoid having her look like another Recolored-Moon-Celestia. One thing I did was change up the mane a bit, having it start like a normal mane (aside from the auroras in it), becoming a little more ethereal further down before dissipating into a starry mist at her hooves. I also added a little white mark on her face. And then there’s the wings. There’s just something inherently awesome about feathered bat wings.

I designed her normal outfit keeping in mind that threats in the Power Ponies universe could potentially be more dangerous than those in canon Equestria, so she needed to be able to kick plot in all her finery. She also has battle armor made of dragon scales, with a helmet kinda like Nightmare Moon with a tiny bit of samurai thrown in. I also played around with the idea of her growing little fangs when severely angered, or if she wanted to turn somepony into a vampire/werewolf because she’s basically the goddess of the night so why the crap not.
