……. Trying so hard to find your puns, Carlos, but I can’t.
I’m having too much fun with this page
my favorite moment was at the end, when that trick backfired on them and then it un-backfired because they were just pretending that it backfired.
uh oh we have a 4th wall breach
“I love how in Bill and Ted’s excellent adventure they actually did this. They needed some keys, so one of them just goes and digs next to some bushes and pulls the keys out, and the other is like, “What the heck, how’d you get the keys?” “I just decided that once this is over, we’ll take these keys, go back in time and bury them right here a day ago!” “Awesome!””
To be fair, they do that in Doctor Who sometimes. Best example I can think of is from ‘Day of the Doctor’ when 11 carves the code for the Vortex Manipulator into the wall of the Tower of London so they will have it in the future.
And the bit with the screwdriver, as well.

Bullcrap arbitrary rules about time travel will serve the plot to weaken the ability as to create suspense. Everything in time travel is changable and extremely so (so the villains winning is a big deal. For some reason we travel back to 1940 and now there’s aliens that will destroy the world even though historically they weren’t there and if you go back to 2016 Earth will be invaded and destroyed) except for some key arbitrary points that exist so that tragic stuff can happen and they can remove
actorscharacters from the show and have unfixable drama.I really like Doctor Who, but things like this sometimes keep me from loving it. I love The Doctor as one of my favorite characters ever, and his stories are often pretty cool, but sometimes arbitrary rules and stuff about time travel just irk me to no end. Time travel is way too buff and they just need ways to nerf it with stuff like that.
Otherwise they could resolve any and every problem ever with just, “Oh no, we’re stuck in this room with a bomb - oh hey, it’s time-travelling us popping in to carry the bomb off and deliver us back to our timeline of the TARDIS. Once this is all over, we need to remember to come back to this time and place and take the bomb away and deliver us back to the TARDIS.”
I love how in Bill and Ted’s excellent adventure they actually did this. They needed some keys, so one of them just goes and digs next to some bushes and pulls the keys out, and the other is like, “What the heck, how’d you get the keys?” “I just decided that once this is over, we’ll take these keys, go back in time and bury them right here a day ago!” “Awesome!”
But also, they always separate them from the TARDIS and keep them separated from it, then invent some weird rules that only apply sometimes to keep them from doing stuff like above.
Oh, so that’s what’s probably going on with his outburst. I see.
(I’ve only watched a hand full of (old) Dr Who eps, so my understanding is limited.)
There has been a running theme in the Doctor Who show over the last few seasons that the Doctor needs his companions to stay sane, to stay connected to the merely mortal. That when he goes too long without companionship he starts to lose it. And he is not tied down to one place or location. He can leave a city or country or world and not have to see every single being he connected with there die, and their children die.
He is a time traveler. he can go off for a thousand years and come back to his friends in any given time just about anytime he wants.
In fact there are references to him having spent decades doing other things between episodes with a give companion.
Hmm, yeah, I check the funeral page, and she wasn’t in attendance. Probably doesn’t exist. :(
She’s never mentioned in this comic, so maybe she isn’t in this AU, or died.
It was a full 1000 years between Luna’s banishment and her return. This is Twi about that far in the future, so she’s been alone for nearly that long.
>Twilight had nothing once all her friends died.
What about Cadence? The two seem close, and they’re both Alicorns…
Celestia had the return of her sister to look forward to, and her before that to keep he company. Twilight had nothing once all her friends died.
