“A small loan of a million dollars” opens up a lot of doors for the sort of people who can get them. I’m more impressed by people who get one tenth of that and become millionaires than I am by people who start with one million and pay it back.
It’s still a stupid thing to say when most of your campaign is based on appealing to downtrodden, blue-collar Americans.
I believe you may have completely missed the point of what made this statement such a craptacular thing to say.

That’s what I meant. However, it’s small in that contexts. Most of Trumps constituents simply don’t live in that context. So yes, it’s not inaccurate to say his perceptions of things is slightly warped if Trump expected his audience to immediately get his thought process, and not go “I’d kill for that loan!”
Also, I’m pretty dang certain you’ll find a casino in one of these hotels eventually.

I thought that was pretty funny. Ponies travel to Las Pegasus only to play ticket games and watch shows. Unless we’re dealing with a Japanese pachinko machine gray market here.
