I think that may just be my inability to write/empathize with child characters.
i’m more curiuos about how spike not only seems to know how to play the game well,but he’s become so much more mature in your universe, compared to others. i mean he’s mature in some others, but at whatever age he is here, he hit mature age sooner than the other universes. like he seems 14 years old in this one, and already the maturity of an 27 year old.
I was just making a joke based on something that happened in the official comics.
I headcanon she’s actually a good strategist when it comes to actual battles and similar things and just doesn’t adjust well with the much more limited, rigid rules of chess.
You don’t have to be stupid to be bad at chess. There’s a great many differing kinds of intelligence, yo.
