I was thinking the same thing… but from the previews, there’s a good chance that Diamond Tiara doesn’t even appear in the movie at all.

That’s what I thought. It’s too bad, Chantal Strand has a lovely singing voice. I always thought she and Silver Spoon should have had a song in Rainbow Rocks since Lyra and Sweetie Drops got one (even if we didn’t get to hear it) and also Snips and Snails.

What you and many others fail to understand is that the Equestria and Human counterparts are not the same people. They are different characters. Any number of things could have happened in the Human world to have made characters into completely different people to the Equestrian counterpart. Didn’t you see what happened with Human Sparkle?
 
I hope they bring in Starlight Glimmer with the specific intention of showing how different worlds, societies and circumstances can change someone in radically different ways. For example, since Cutie Marks are not a thing, there was no reason for Starlight to “lose” her friend, at least in the same way as in FiM, and even if he did move away, the higher technology level would mean she could still find and communicate with him.
 
If they bring in Human Shimmer, I hope she is an antagonist to provide contrast for what the Pony version turned into. I think it would be amusing if they assumed she had no friends which is why she’s mean, but then it turns out she does have friends and she is just that way because she wants to be.

As far as we know, she’s not even in the movie. Or at least she hasn’t been in any of the trailers. I really don’t like the idea that the nice Filthy Rich from the show is going to be a villain in an EQG movie. I hope they subvert it, and I hope DT finally gets some lines.
 
She was part of the crowd singing in the cafeteria in Rainbow Rocks, but I don’t think she has had any actual lines unfortunately.

Won’t it be a shame if they have Filthy Rich in Legend of Everfree and yet his daughter - Diamond Tiara, still has no lines? I mean, wouldn’t that be just awful…?
