You guys just haven’t seen humanity at its best then. It is a good thing, at least you get to keep the illusion of it and governments being something other than complete sht. Personally I would do the same as that dude did, exactly to the letter. Other humans can go buck themselves, most of them are either complete morons or complete assholes anyways, NONE of the humans is worthy to be presented and to raise something so pure, NO ONE. People wouldn’t believe first video, wouldn’t believe second, on third they would ask officials for their position, and then it would all go to hell. There is no way you could keep her on public - just check how HUMAN actors have to build huge walls and go outside with security detail just to prevent weirdos from getting to them, and this is so much more than just an actor. Plus police is people as well, it can be corrupted, it can be bought, etc. Heck, even some religious and extremist groups might think her to be the devil or some sht and attempt to straight-out murder her.
As for the “disgusting” “daddy” part, dude, he raised her from like 4 years old. Do you say the same to all parents with ADOPTED kids as well? “You adopted this kid at 4 y.o., it can’t call you Daddy, you sh*tface!” Also, he didn’t make her, she started doing this on her own and he just didn’t stop her. Clearly you have a lot of prejudice towards the fanfic and for some reason prefer to lash out at it instead of tolerating or enjoying it… perhaps jealousy?

Eh, I imagine if word got out, she’d become something more like the Lochness Monster or El Chupacabra. I mean, how many people are really going to believe a character from a TV show just appeared in front of a Brony’s house? This strikes me as the sort of thing that most people confronted with images/videos would just shrug off as some well done hoax. And it’s so out of left field, I can’t imagine many reputable news sources would really bother looking into it (any more than the usual claim someone saw Elvis alive and well or some such).
The remaining people who were dangerously interested could probably be redirected to government custody. I mean, being convinced that a cartoon horse exists in reality to the point where one starts trying to forcibly obtain her from someone else probably isn’t the sort of thing that police would just shrug off…

humans aren’t as fucked up as the story wishes they were. more people would want to protect her from getting stolen than steal her. a sentient life form that isn’t human is huge, world changing. it’s too important to everyone else for you to lock her in the basement and tell her you’re protecting her from the bad humans so you can have her all to yourself.

Even if they weren’t going to dissect her, they would at the very least insist to move her someplace away, they would give her incentive of doing so. Plus it is not the government you should be worried about, but people. ESPECIALLY other bronies. If word of her got out, there would be no rest for either of you. There would be stalking, there would be attempts to steal her away either for personal use or re-selling, there would be rich people blackmailing you to get her as an exotic pet. Dude, humanity is fucked-up. Something as pure, exotic and precious as an intelligent xeno specimen COULD NOT peacefully live in your flat if everyone knew about it.
