In fiction, it’s accepted practice to take the simplest explanation for an event when there’s no evidence pointing elsewhere. Otherwise, the door is opened for sny remotely possible explanation to be given equal consideration, no matter how unlikely or convoluted. I could say that Fluttershy could have been the true secret mastermind behind the Sirens, just because we never saw any outright evidence that she couldn’t have done so.
 
Regardless, the fact that every single one of them has exactly the same hair color as their pony counterpart, with zero knowledge of said counterparts, is pretty damn strong evidence for it being natural. They aren’t mind controlled into being the same as their pony counterparts in every way possible, after all.
 
Plus, there’s alao the fact that the new hair they grow via magic is the same color as their current hair, and after magic changed their hair color in Rainbow Rocks, their hair went back to their current color instead of their “original” color.
 
It’s absolutely ridiculous to think that literally everyone dyes their hair, including the children, especially when we already have precedent for strange natural colors in their skin tones.

There is absolutely zero evidence that any of them dye their hair, and the clead implication is that multi-colored hair is a natural thing for EQG humans.

…She does have pretty hair.

Of course it is. That portal is a sort of equalizer for stuff to fit in to the world. In eqg world, dyed hair is a thang to have. Not something born with. Or else Principal hair should be flowing and sparkling too.

Well, a ALICORN Celestia I can understand. Being immortal and powerful and all. But, a simple principal woman with a thing for dying her hair multiple colors is where i question. XD

Of course, that doesn’t mean that there aren’t administrative tasks to attend to, but we’ve seen how good pony Celestia is at delegating.
