“I was actually thinking about what to do with them afterwards, now that you mention it. I couldn’t decide whether I’d feed on their love, as well, or just kill them. On the subject of killing them, I can’t decide if I want to do it quickly, or make their deaths painfully slow. Decisions, decisions. Meh, I’ll think of something, just as soon as I deal with a few loose ends, starting with YOU!”
Yeah, I think she wants to feed her subjects, but her number one priority is herself. IMHO, the only question is how much of her concern for her subjects is truly selfless, and how much is based on her wanting a loyal army under her command.
I included that 2nd quote because I like the ambiguity of it.
However, as @Background Pony #3423
pointed out, she does emphasize herself multiple times in her full speech.
“My drones will be able to store all the love meant for them and return it here… to me!”
“Every pony will do as I command!”
Is that a real question? She says it right here. She wants to rule over all ponykind so that she and her subjects can steal their love for all eternity, which is exactly what she said she wanted in Canterlot. In fact, this is a lot like the motivations behind other power hungry individuals like Bison and Dio, but the biggest difference is there appears to be a biological, nutritional benefit for the antagonists, whereas other power grabbers do it just to impose their power and control over the world or country.
Actually, I didn’t watch that many vampires films from last decade. Though, Blade is kind of reminiscent except their dominion over humans is unseen, underground. :3

Both and neither, funnily enough.
Or maybe the first for her people, ponies for the second.
It could go either way. IDW gives her a backstory where she and her changlings were begotten by the magic of a cursed tree and have been around for 1000 years, but the canon status of any of the books is in dispute at best.
