Don’t think that’d be too strange for Discord. I’m sure he’s probably attempted to charm a few ponies for a laugh, and even so doesn’t he usually do that?
Same here, that would’ve looked so cool!
Actually, people keep expecting Chrysalis to reappear after IDW made sure that she got freed in Sombra’s comic and became an overall threat to Equestria without forcing comics to retcon this.
For me, it was a reminder to stop taking things like story so seriously, and that I should learn to just relax.

It basically mean that the show will no longer use them and comic writers can mess up this plotline as much as they want. EoH are like Sombra, now.
Actually it took a thousand years after they got pulled out for there to be a problem.
Now that the plunder vines are dead, the Chest has been opened and the Tree has had time to recover, there shouldn’t be any reason they can’t recover the Elements temporarily for a desperate situation.
The tree wasn’t almost killed by Plants when they pulled them out the first time.
Given how it was set up as a giant sacrifice, the scene implied they COULDN’T remove them again, like the tree would need them to keep itself alive/healthy after what Discord’s plunder vines did to it.
otherwise the whole “Give up the EOH” scene where twilight said they weren’t what made them friends would have been pointless and they would have just pulled the gems RIGHT back out after putting them back in.
…you do remember the Elements of Harmony were originally plucked from the Tree to deal with Discord, right?
Time to use them again.

Let’s be honest, if ‘Accord’ looked different…this fandom would still bitch and moan about how it’s not right or not “good enough”…
Agreed, there’s FAR too little fluttershy interaction with discord for his character growth.
I mean, come on, she’s supposed to be the most important character in his life, SHE should be the one teaching him stuff about friendship.

Most likely they’ll just pull the old “I know what its like to be a former villain” schtick and talk him down like she tried (and failed) with chrysalis in the finale.

Now that i think of it. Radiant Hope is kind of similar to Starlight in term of personality. Or the lack of it.
Also what’s with both the show and comics putting Starlight on the pedestal? Is this how they try to make the fans love her? By making everyone useless and defeated?

Then again, after Radiant Hope, it certainly doesn’t surprise me that the comics would do this sort of thing.

They just turned him into British gentleman from the XIX century. Very uncreative. And i bet he will just use the standard intelligent way of talking like “I presume” and “very interesting, indeed”. Maybe even british words like “chap”
This comment is going to look really silly in hindsight when it turns out this is just a cover and not what he looks like in-issue.
Seriously though, you are tasked with designing a being of pure order and this is the best you can come up with? This is a creativity miniholocaust right there.
