Hes also done many immature things that far exceed his Adult things proving hes still adolescent… Hes smart ill give him that but being around twilight that isnt too surprising.

I think Sparity is still a popular ship then EmberSpike is, because Ember appeared only once in the show so far, and Spike has never shown any romantic interest toward Ember like he does toward Rarity.

The EmberSpike hype thing kinda dies down in the recent months since the episode aired. And to be honest, Spike and Ember don’t really be ship that much, it’s mostly just Ember and a oc character.

@Cabrony Spike is actually very accomplished though. He has saved the Dragon lands and Equestria on multiple occasions. He is directly responsible for saving the Chrystal Empire twice. He’s probably the only reason Twilight and her friends passed a lot of their tests and became the element bearers they are today. Not to mention that he writes official letters to all of the important ponies/creatures in Equestria and beyond. And he is the official assistant of the princess of friendship which makes him really high up on the social chain; even higher up then the rest of Twilight’s friends. So in my opinion, Spike is well accomplished, has a good job, and is mature enough for Rarity.

seems some people are overrating how popular emberspike actually is,that tag barely has 161 images since it aired 6 months ago and its only slowing down from there.
 
then the whole age diference goes out the window when anti-sparity folk ship him with ember who may as well be DECADES older than him cause “muh dragon aging”
 
its probably more that people dont like seeing a fabulous pony like Rarity be with a fat midget dragon,kinda like princess twilight being with that hairless monkey flash sentry,they would probably prefer he was a handsome stallion instead which kind of defeats the purpose of him being an underdog who has to overcome great obstacles for someone out of his league.

@Acespade777 Spike has done a lot of adult things though. He manages everything for Twilight Sparkle. Sends important messages to Princess Celestia and other high level officials across Equestria and beyond. He has saved the dragon lands and Equestria on multiple occasions. He every bit as much of a hero as the mane six are. He just isn’t recognized as often for his deeds. And Spike does have a job. His job is being the personal assistant to Princess Twilight Sparkle. Which actually makes him a very high member of the community/ society in general.

As I said… my only real issue… and the biggest issue is that in pony years yes Spike is only a few years younger than the rest… however… Rarity is old enough to have her own fashion store… 2 of them btw and is managing them both. Second Spike is not old enough for it to even cross Rarity mind since they clearly show the difference between Spike as a baby dragon and teen dragons. I will fully admit that if Spike aged with them to the point he was old enough to be around their age as a dragon and not as a pony I would have no issues with it.

@TheAmazingPeanuts Yeah, there are more people who prefer to ship him with Ember these days. But I am still a fan of the Spike/ Rarity pairing even though it isn’t that popular.

Well the problem is, since the episode “Gauntlet of Fire”, some fans like to believe that Spike is over his crush on Rarity.
 
However, it is shown that Spike still have his crush on Rarity in later episodes of season six. Such episodes like, “The Times They Are a Changeling”, “Dungeons & Discords” and “P.P.O.V. (Pony Point of View)”, so it’s look like Spike’s crush isn’t going away anytime soon.

@Acespade777 I like to think that Spike is the same age as all of the other characters, but chooses to take a younger form because he doesn’t want his dragon side to consume him. In one of the episodes we saw Twilight hatch him from an egg when she was around four years old. So this means that Spike is only four years younger than the members of the mane six. He stays young out of fear of what he will become. So that is why I think the Spike and Rarity pairing works. They are close to the same age. And Rarity can help him calm his ’dragon rage’ with her care/ love for him.

Dragons also live for thousands of years. So what people say as the same age or a little younger is much like anew infant being in love with a full grown adult… Spike won’t reach maturity untill around Rarity is basically just like granny smith… and as for the him getting older. I will agree that Rarity would not want to be around spike when he’s like that… otherwise this ship is blasphemy and should be burned to the ground… I hate to see such a good character dragged down by a baby dragon joke.

@Cabrony I’m not sure. I have noticed a trend in most of my images getting downvoted. I even had images that were featured on Equestria Daily downvoted here. I don’t know if it is the same group of people or what. But in any case I don’t really mind. I make pony stuff for fun and I share it for those who want to look at it. So I don’t let things like downvotes get to me.

whats with the downvotes? its pretty clear thousands of others also ship them and Sparity is the #1 pairing on derpibooru with 4260 images.
 
also he is barely 4-5 years younger than the mane 6 and the show has clearly moved away from the “baby dragon” stuff from season 1,the guy is pretty competent and has adult friends to hang out with as equals,he would be bored to tears if he had to hang out with the CMC and other foals.

@QuelloScelto He is really only maybe four or five years younger than Twilight Sparkle. Because she was four or five years old when she entered Celestia’s School For Gifted Unicorns and hatched Spike from the egg.

Well we know now for a fact that he is older than the CMC considering how Applebloom might have not been born yet by the time AJ was a teen as despicted in the recent episode.
