… What did I do that constituted a Rule #0 violation? I remember being a bit snarky, but I’m pretty sure criticizing someone’s opinion doesn’t amount to a personal insult.

Because that’s the first thing people see. We can even go into a lengthly discussion on tying it to preference of western animation vs. anime vs. CGI, or preferring one colour of skin to another; it’s a visual matter that differs from person to person.

In all fairness, Zephyr Breeze is pretty obnoxious.
 
(Flash, on the other hand? It started out a little excessive, and after how things went in Friendship Games and Legend of Everfree, I think it’s fair to say that taking it any further is just kicking him while he’s down.)
 
But yeah, that’s probably part of it (nobody seems to be in a hurry to forgive Zesty Gourmand), but let’s bear in mind that the female characters tend to be the ones who get most of the focus. This is “My Little Pony”, after all.

Truthfully, I don’t really hate any characters either, but I’ve seen that some people block characters, most of them male characters like Flash or Zephyr Breeze, and I noticed that people are more forgiving of female characters, and I believe that has to do with the sexual attraction some feels towards females from the show setting. I could be wrong, but I would want to see evidence of that.

In regards to Tiara, I never really hated her, (and it’s a li’l much to say Scoots is “handicapped/a cripple,” as she might just be underdeveloped, and probably can fly when she gets older) so it wasn’t that hard for me to forgive her, as she got her comeuppance big time in said episode, and her sad song was adorable.
 
As for Flim & Flam I never hated them either, in fact, I found them kinda funny/amusing. So I have no reason to hate them, or their female counterparts above. Whether I like an antagonistic character, or not has nothing to do with their gender. (Or the pr0nz either for that matter, which I’m not really into personally.)  
In fact, I was never too big a fan of Queen Chrysalis, but I admit she has her amusing moments too, and was a pretty good surprise villain.

To some, a character is little more than the design that makes them. That’s all it is to some; one view is not the view of all.

I’ve seen people ship her with Rarity and Coco, and people were quick to forgive the girl that made fun of the physically handicapped because she had a mean mom, which they made porn of afterwords, like Scorpdk. I think people forgive these mares long enough to masturbate to them, which explains why more people forgive mares than stallions or bunnies.

I meant how the fandom in general regards him, not how you personally feel. You can’t deny he’s got his share of haters, albeit fewer than he did when “Putting Your Hoof Down” was new.

Not always the case. For example, up until “Crusaders of the Lost Mark” aired, Diamond Tiara was right up there with Angel Bunny on the most-hated list.

I’ve seen people forgive female characters for being cute or sexy, and most people most hated characters are males. You see my problem with that? (It’s the hypocrisy that gets to me)
