While there was less, there was still WAY more fun adorkable Twi in this movie then what we get in the show, save your odd ‘sweep’ song.
 
Plus it was endearing to see a Twilight Sparkle worry about consequences for the sake of friends and self doubt instead of mentor worship and brown-nosing, at least for one movie. Way better then karma houdini’ing it. In a way she’s Princess Luna’s successful successor in terms of overcoming powers that appeal to the darker side of your psyche.
 
Completely adorkable in some scenes, and consequence driven and well developed in others for Sci Twi….I had very little to complain about this movie. My only complaint was that it had less tension then the other movies, but that wasn’t necessarily a bad thing. It was a character building movie first, a plot driven movie second. I think that was a good choice for one movie now that the Mane 7 have been fully established in EG.

If only Sci-Twi didn’t whine about her magic and Midnight Sparkle most of the movie… I probably would have enjoyed the movie better. I prefer the fun side over the whiny fearing side.

She’s been holding her breath for a long time, now… _{looking at a static image} I hope she’s okay…

Why couldn’t we have more of THIS Twilight in the movie!? I so miss my adorable dork from Friendship Games…
