Well some people thought it was a C&D when other people thought it isn’t.
Sometimes copyright laws are why companies are hated and a vocal majority disguised in words as a “minority” is born.
Wait, Journey of the Spark was C&D? I thought they cancelled it cause of how massive the project was and decided to have it turned into a radio drama type project.

Even though copyright laws can lead Hasbro to do Cease & Desist and people are starting to get so butthurt over the C&D and fans are gonna violently hate Hasbro for the C&D when it becomes too similar to the show for either profit and what not. (Like Button’s Adventures, Fighting Is Magic, Journey of the Spark, etc.)
Thank you. And yeah, nothing that gets enough of a fanbase doesn’t have its share of whiners. It’s just human nature, I suppose.
And exactly. Instead of griping about how much you don’t like what the show is doing, make your own version of it! It can work really well, especially if there’s some massive change to the show that you weren’t planning on. Look at the original Fallout Equestria. The show has basically proven it completely false (if that makes sense. I’m not sure what word to use for that. Non-canon maybe?) and yet, it ignored mayor changes like Cadance and the changelings and keeps going with its original worldview, and it works. That’s the real fun of fanfiction - you can take the world you’re writing in whatever direction you please.

I guess there will never be a show that has changes that nobody whined.
If they are not pleased with the changes, how about this:
MAKE THEIR OWN AU OR THEIR OWN MLP-INSPIRED FRANCHISE! Not a hard concept, people.
It’s a lot better than being salty towards the changes in a show you like and preventing it from being successful just to make journalists delusional for saying “it’s a success even though there is whining about changes”.
Because a show’s success isn’t based on the opinions of a vocal minority’s, despite what that minority would like you to believe. The producers don’t care what a few people are whining about as long as the majority are still watching and buying merchandise. The show has gone from what was probably meant to be a quick cash grab to a marketing empire. A few people getting their panties in a bunch because of a new character or what not isn’t a big deal to them. See Cadance and Shining Armor, Discord’s reformation, Twilicorn, Crystal Empire, the CMC getting the “wrong” cutie marks…
In short, the people who complain about stuff like the are impossible to please, and more to the point, don’t WANT to be pleased.
So was shows like Steven Universe, even though it has drama, but I don’t see it as big as MLP with the exception of the Zamii incident. And Rick and Morty, Daredevil and Star vs. the Forces of Evil.
Sometimes i don’t understand how any franchise keeps being successful when there is people making drama and whining about changes in the franchise. Maybe we can’t please people.

It’s been going strong for six years, despite every piece of drama the fandom can through at it, despite every “r00ned 4ever!!!2!” People whine about, every change, every terrible idea.
It’s not too early to call t successful. It already is.
That is why i doubt about the success of MLP.
There was no drama in Gravity Falls when it there are changes in any episode chronologically.
And yet when MLP has changes there is drama. And Equestria Daily are gonna be labeled as delusional for his Top 6 Reasons why MLP is incredibly successful.

I’ve honestly been staying very far away from anything flurry heart related, so I haven’t really seen any of the flurry hate.
personally I think she’s a pretty cool disguised changeling but kind of eh lame baby pandering otherwise.
It would be a lot easier to take Flurry Hate more seriously if so much of it wasn’t delivered in the form of RUINED FOREVER!!1! rhetoric.
Like how people complained that they could write more than 500 characters, and add links in YouTube comments.
