It makes sense that this face would appear in Starlight’s dream. Think about it: she saw this face right before she was exposed in the season 5 premiere. This face would be just as memorable to HER as it was to the audience. So naturally when she was afraid of going back to the village she deceived, her subconscious pulled this from her memory for the dream.
