I think if you want a real scary pony artist you can try monkeyassasin’s stuff. He even keeps the cartoony look but do some crazy painting in it that makes it look like a 3d figure.

One of Yakovlev’s sketches. Some of the scenic peices are very well drawn, but yeah, the finish on his art’s just crazy detailed.

If you ask me the sketch part is the fastest in painting be it digital or traditional.  
Let’s be honest all the good artists have at least years of deliberate practice under their belts.
 
It is no use to feel bad about their stuff. I sure will work on not to feel bad about it myself.
 
Also from tomorrow. I will take up training art. I will give them a run for their money or collapse and never be seen around pony. We will see.

No need to do so. Your picture is nice. Sure the other guy has more details but the fact that the picture exists shows that others care about the idea.
 
For some reason the name “warrior princesses” reminded me Xena, and old live action show I used to watch when I was a kid.

Funny thing is, Yakovlev’s initial sketches that he does to produce these stunning pieces aren’t any better than the doodles I do. He just spends longer adding details than anyone else does.
