I hate to sound really cold, but well Rarity, if you are gonna stand to those old and, in my opinion-oudated, customs toward courting, then you deserve to still be single, because 9 times out of ten, your perfect special someone isn’t some ideal Prince Charming riding in on his white stallion. It’s obvious that you like Spike, and now you have to witness Applejack have the stones to accept a dance. Yes, we all know that Spike originally wanted to ask Rarity and ultimated chickened out settling for Applejack, but sometimes fate has a interesting sense of humor. And I for one applaud him AND Applejack for going through with it.
 
Rarity, this wasn’t the time to play hard-to-get, and as a result, you’re either gonna get no one at all, or you are gonna get a jerk or someone else that in probably two weeks time, you would punt him to the curb. And ironically I would see her running to Spike to wail and rant about another bad break-up.

Well, in the description, swain says it’s after season four, so twilight should be an alicorn. So either he just doesn’t like princess twilight, or there’s some other reason I’m missing.

Yeah, a couple of sad things are probably going to happen next, I’m guessing already that Spike will return to the CMC trio and the girls will be all like “Great job there Spike” and he will answer angry, something like “Yeah, stop mocking me, I already know I quit there on the last second!” and they wonder why or just ask and then of course Spike will be mad and will either explain or will be about to explain when Pinkie jumps and makes him kiss one of the CMC right on front of everybody.
