Zamasu always suffered a superiority complex with regard to what surrounded him, observing how the “ningen” (which in context did not refer only to humans but to any creature that was considered a person) squandered the wisdom given by the gods for different purposes such as destruction and killing without meaning. However, he raised more genuine ideas such as the role of the gods in punishing humans for their roles instead of taking a passive role, just observation, which led to the conclusion that it is a sin of the gods not to do nothing.
 
Zamasu was more ambitious because his Plan Cero Mortales carried out for the entire multiverse, and not only Universe 10, getting rid of all the kaioshins and hakaishins so as not to have problems in eradicating all humans, preserving the beauty in the world.

No the Buu Saga was a confused mess with no clear protagonist and like 6 false endings. Pretty much everything after Ultimate Gohan feels like pointless stretching especially.

It’s hard for me to take Zamasu seriously because he is a bad kind of “totally insane”. Not just regular insane. Like, supremely autisticly, gibberingly cartoon-character insane. You know that thing cartoon characters sometimes do to signify craziness? Where their eyes spin around crazily and they purse their lips and move their fingers up and down on their lips to make this “FLUBLUBLUBL” noise? That kind of insane. He acts like a small child, he got beaten by a mortal in a fight so now he has to kill all mortals everywhere, and he thinks he’s a force of good and “justice”. He’s going around committing unspeakable atrocities and thinking he’s being good. It’s fucking stupid.
 
I can’t take him seriously, it’s like being angry at a 4 year old that he smashed his toys in a childish tantrum. That’s what I compare him to, a small child having a tantrum. He is a terrible villain.

Basically the first two arcs just rehash Battle of The gods and Res F but make them like 3 times as long are pretty weak, sadly not surprisingly since those stories weren’t meant to be that long. the Third arc is alright but low stakes and the fourth (and current) is IMO the best since Cell.

Fusion has ALWAYS been useless, seriously the only time a Fusion actually did more than “bring about a cool fight then fail” was Gogeta in Fusion Reborn and that lasted for like 1 minute. It kinda suffers from being so insanely broken (other than Gotenks I guess) that it’s hard to really write a satisfying conclusion with it since the fused character is always so much more overwhelmingly powerful than the enemy.

That’s only cause people are still holding the movie rehash arcs against Super, the Tourny Arc while not GREAT was about equal with the Baby Saga and better than literally everything else in GT and the Trunks/Zamasu arc just utterly demolished everything in GT (and Z’s Buu saga for that matter) by a ridiculous margin, you just have some people butthurt now because the finale would probably have been better as 2 episodes and they retconned something.
