I enjoyed human-loving Lyra during her entire evolution, from sitting to walking to pants to conspiracy theoricist (over skulls and complex tools that appeared in the show) to hand obsession. It’s fun.
 
I never thought to consider her and Bon to be anything more than BFFs, but since the lesbian pairing is pretty much unavoidable at this point, I do enjoy that, too.
 
As for BonBon, I like the “bitchy” personality when she’s not with Lyra.
 
Overall I imagine them as young girls who enjoy what girls around their age enjoy. I usually think of them as more outgoing and “hip” than the mane 6. In fact, I don’t think they’d neccessarily even get on well with the main characters.

I think the human obsession is a fun fanon joke, but I actually like to think that what she’s really [passionate about/somehow tied to] is angels. Like, human angels. Hence the lyre cutie mark.  
Like, maybe her mom discovered an injured angel in the forest and helped him, and as thanks he gave her one wish, so she wished for a child, and Lyra was the result.
 
As for the relationship with Bon-Bon… Egh. If there was such a thing as an anti OTP, Lyrabon would be mine. The first reason for which is it always just seems forced, and not only that but boring. The second is I think it actually kind of takes away from Bon-Bon as an individual character. As if the only reason she exists is too be shipped with Lyra. In Lyrabon pics I always see Bon as the “disapproving straight-woman” archetype. Which is just boring I think. What I have in my headcanon is that they’re sisters (and Bon-Bon is the older on), or that they’re just good friends, and they’re straight (and they both live alone). In both though I imagine Bon-Bon as a skilled confection artisan, but more importantly, a widow.

I like the human obssessed (But not too obssessed) Lyra more than any of her other personalities. Sure I would like to see more of her other than that key personality, but I really don’t want it to disappear. Basically I like Lyra for her interest in humans and when she discovers something about them(us) and gets excited she’s in her element. She’s in the “happiest as I can be mode,” when she talks about us humans or the things she love, which is next to her always being excitied over competitions. Due to her jumping up and down all the time in these competitions is one of the reasons why Lyra is so darned happy all the time (that and she makes for a great cheering pony). Anyway, about the way she would talk about stuff that interests her, I always feel she would talk like a certain archaeologist and treasure hunter when she goes into depth about this kind of stuff.
 
I feel that Bonbon should have more of a personality than the straight and only sane mare when she’s with Lyra. I’d like to see more of that personality I’ve seen of Bonbon when she was up against a buffalo in that one episode. Either way I feel like she’s better being Lyra’s best friend in the same vein as the mane cast then being shipped with her.

From what we’ve seen of Bon-Bon, she’s a real plothole.

Human obsession is pretty funny at times. Not a fan of Lyra/Bonbon as it always felt forced with; I have always saw them as freinds samw with Scratch and Octavia

Obviously I like the human obsession. There’s just a lot of good potential there for comics and stories, more so than other background ponies. There’s a lot of different ways to interpret it - does she want to be one? Does she actually think they exist or is she a fan of a “My Little Human” TV show? Plus all the things in the show, like Groucho glasses or foam fingers, that seem to suggest ponies might know what a human is.
 
I kind of like the Lyra/Bon-Bon ship, but I’ve always written them in fanfiction as friends/roommates, kind of an “odd couple” where Lyra’s more hyperactive and imaginative and Bon-Bon just gets tired of it. Sometimes I have a hard time making it seem like Bon-Bon even likes Lyra.

I see her and Bon Bon as a couple, but that’s because of the fandom, otherwise I wouldn’t even have noticed how much time they spend together.

I think she has a hole in her butt.

I see her as a big friend of Bon-Bon and as a folktail musician with her lyra instrument. I don’t see her as human obsessed but just happens to be very odd with her postures.

If you strip her human obsession, she doesn’t have much to offer.

The one I support most is Lyra having a strange curiosity with humans/hands as well as a strong relationship with Bon-Bon.

I think of her as excitable and obsessively focused. scary focused.
