•The idea of using Pinkie pie as Abbe Faria came from: Athlete Grizzle. Comparing to the other artworks with her I did a little re-design to her. First of all, I changed her prison shirt into a dirty robe. Second, I made her colors be a little grayish, so it would be more logical and it will be seen that she was in a prison for a long time. Also, I thought that it would be really weird if Dashie had her colors turned grayish and Pinkia stayed pink as she is. Third, I made her hair look a little bit more messed up just like Dashie had after some years in prison.

•Edmond Dashie as smuggler after escaping Chateau D’If - after Dashie escaped Chateau D’If there was and amount of time before he found the treasure at the island of Monte Cristo, when he was working on a ship with a crew of smugglers. I thought that leaving his prison shirt for this kind of a long amount of time would be totally weird, also whene it’s written in the novel that he was given some clothing, so I invented a design for him when he was working as a smuggler.

•Louis Dashie, Edmond Dashie’s father. The idea of using him came from the most obvious place. Rainbow Dash’s father has appeared in one of the episodes of MLP FiM series, so it’s obvious to use him as Edmond Dashie’s father in the comic.
