Dell does make some decent gaming PCs, even outside their overpriced Alienware line.
Yeah, got a 2408WFP as my main monitor (dang, 8 years old!) and a newer one (about 2 years old) as a secondary. Now I am trying to work out how to replace them if either dies.
The big reason they are so great is that their tech is about 5 years ahead of the consumer market, but don’t worry, you pay for it. Examples: IPS panels, high resolutions (their 10 year old panels were 1920x1200).
Alright.
@Damaged
Eh, I’ve never had one myself. Viewsonic here.
Oh yeah. I had three Dell monitors for several years, and they’ve been wonderful. Picture quality is very good, colors are nice, never had any problems with flickering/tearing (Which I’ve had with other monitors), and they were a pretty good price too.
Sadly though, I’m gonna be replacing them soon. One of them failed completely about a month ago, and the backlight is showing some noticable fade on a second one. Can’t fault the monitors at all though - they’re over a half decade old, and frequently see 10-16 hours of use a day. They’re just at that age where their useful life has naturally reached its end.
Dell monitors are actually pretty choice, particularly the Ultrasharp ones.
Just my monitors. My computer itself is custom built.
I pity your situation.
