Yes, I admit I LOVE proving people wrong, because I’m able to do it so infrequently, because I’m apparently medically learning impaired due to my drinking. I dunno, I just don’t like having a rival, I guess.

Not really. It’s just that when the climate gets warmer, that mean the sum energy of the climate is higher. And you know what more energy means? More motion. Motion which leads to more extreme pressure differences as some places get higher pressure, which creates lower pressure areas. And that creates more extreme weather. And since the Earth is warming as a sum, that means some places get hotter, allowing other areas to get colder due to the heat having to come from somewhere. But the sum is still hotter than average.
 
So no, global warming is not a misnomer. It’s extremely accurate. But climate change is accurate as well as the heating changes the climate.

Actually, global warming is a misnomer. The more appropriate term would be climate change, in which all extremes of weather can happen.

To be honest, when will global warming get rid of snow? It’s cold here. 🙂
