Long story short, what’s the point of this duo if Applejack get all badass scenes while Twilight isn’t allowed to use even 1% of her talents. It is like trying to make Applejack look good by making Twilight useless every single time.

Applejack is such a showoff. Because of her, Twilight keeps forgetting that she can fly, teleport, use force-fields and so on. I mean, come on, they would get through all obstacles till now if Twilight just fly with Applejack on her back, or teleport them both short distances, or use barriers to protect from all dangers.
 
I feel Applejack make Twilight look incompetent by stealing all the action-related spotlight. Not much for a duo if the powerful mage never get a chance to do anything useful.
