Looking through similar cards, I’ll agree about the second part. I can’t remember my own reasoning for splitting it that way.
there have been cards that only regenerate them self by sacrificing other cards. … it is not that op
The regenerate ability seems kinda broken since it can target itself.
I agree with you on rewording the first part, but splitting the 2nd ability like you have is wholly unnecessary.
