I thought you were referring to my other comment. My bad. Eldrazi monument is five mana and has a considerable drawback, I think it’s a moot point that this land would be broken. When I said “has to have a serious drawback or very high mana cost”, I wasn’t thinking of a little of both, but only one of them, so Eldrazi monument fits what I was saying (and is an artifact, what is much more easily destroyable than a land).

Which is why i didnt mention Slivers. And I was referencing Lord an anthem effects in general. Think more Eldrazi monument. Also regenerating each time it would be destroyed is strictly worse indestructible. Group protection isnt all that hard to come by, Absolute law/Absolute grace being 2 mana makes sense since it only effects a certain kind of spell. Light of sanction is another card, Always watching, while it doesnt make them harder to kill, still applies here. There are many sidegrades and upgrades to this. “Any ability that gives a bunch of creatures of a certain type infintie regeneration requires a huge cost or downside.” I disagree with this, you have many effects that give major bonuses to creatures of a certain type. taht on ly you get that effect.

Hmmm, I don’t remember slivers having this ability. This search shows that slivers have regenerative abilities, but a much weaker version of them (they have to tap and/or pay mana to regenerate).

In fact, this stong regeneration (every time it would be destroyed, regenerate it) is very rare (only three creatures seems to have it, and they are balanced).

It could be something like:
Legendary Land
Creatures with Mist counters on them are zombies in addition to their other types.
Tap: Put a Mist counter on target creature.
(3), Tap, Sacrifice Ruins of Canterlot: Regenerate target creature with a Mist counter on it.
Tap: Add (1) to your mana pool.
That’s a bit less ridonk.

Oh, and it has to enter the battlefield tapped.

I think that any ability that gives an entire type: “If this creature would be destroyed, regenerate it.” has to have a serious drawback or very high mana cost.
