“Hey, Bolero. Do you like my new weapon? I had it specially made!” Gleaming Shield asked, lifting the large hammer up with both her strong arms.
 
“Uh… it’s nice, sweetie. But.. Gleamy, why do you need a hammer that big?” Bolero asked, watching his excited wife hold the weapon.
 
Gleaming Shield grinned widely, showing off her teeth as her hands clutched the hammer tighter, “Well, I need a good bug squasher if that bastard King Metamorphosis tries kidnapping you again, don’t I?”
 
“We… w-we’re allies to the changelings, though…” Bolero replied, a little uneasy by his wife’s maniacal look.
 
Gleaming snorted, “Yeah, but with Queen Mesosoma, not that bastard Metamorphosis. Mesosoma is a friend to us and Barbara!”
 
“I suppose… but why does it have my cutie mark on it?” Bolero asked.
 
“Well, it’s a hammer of love!” Gleaming replied with a smirk, “We’ve shown the power of love by magic, now lets see everypony see the power of love in physical form!”
 
Bolero simply shook his head and smiled at his wife as she began to demonstrate her hammer, swinging it about and grunting as she struck the ground leaving a noticeable indent.
 

 
Not really sure why I think gleaming would use a warhammer, but I now like the idea. I also like the idea she got one made just after the Canterlot wedding incident in order to smoosh the buggy invaders anbd was giving it a bit just after Mesosoma (Thorax) arrived onto the scene. I don’t really know, I just go along with these things for the ride.
 
 
One thing is for certain, Gleaming Shield is hella cute with a ponytail.
