I imagine if you walk around the crystal empire in the late hours you’ll hear a lot of repetitive tinks.
Well when a crystal pony is happy they make a faint, pleasant musical-like tone from inside them. They call it ‘singing’ with happiness.
They can resonate with noise too if you hit them with a tuning fork, though if they’re sad it’d probably be more of a dull “thunk”.
It’s HIS character.
Also there’s much worse out there, this is pretty tame, all things considered.
