Ok, we already saw our heroines trying to make a musical number during detention, yes, in my headcannon they are not studying, they got detention, and somehow, I think Rainbow Dash is the main culprit here while Fluttershy is just merely a scapegoat. Anyway, because Pinkie knew the fans were watching their screens, she thought making a musical number during Celestia’s absence could cheer up the girls, and they thought it was a nice idea.
 
I don’t care if the song would have been so cheesy (then again, this is My Little Pony, it would be weird if the song is not cheesy), I can accept the fact that they somehow had their band costumes from the beginning, and I can accept as well that they could use hammerspace to hide the instruments. Actually that last statement is one of the least weird things from the franchise as a whole, as we know the ponies can do a lot of massive magical rainbow nukes thanks to friendship and love.
 
I’m just a simple man with simple tastes, and I like both imaginative colorful things as well as intelligent things, so I can handle magical rainbows and science as a whole without problems. I think that of fans doesn’t mind the fact that the Equestria Girls movies have enough material to be a franchise in their own right, and I like the fact that I’m a member of a fandom who likes cheesy things without feeling like a freak. I also know that most of my speech here doesn’t make any damn sense anyway and I’m just overextending this.
 
I only have one question that brought me to some minor existential crisis.
