Personally I liked this scene because when I saw it On Demand, it gave me a peek into Tia’s character. As she’s signing the papers, she has a bored look on her face, like she’s thinking: “Please let this be the last paper…” I like the fact that Celestia finds sifting through the political red tape of the pony kingdom boring.

Seriously, it’s good to see that the writers acknowledge that there are two rulers of the realm, and not just one that makes the important decisions, and one that does… well, not much (from an in-series perspective)
