I know how artists make comics. You’re taking cheap shortcuts and it’s very visible in your comics with characters made with a copy-paste method. Slow down if it’s overwhelming for you. Are those puppet rigs made by you or someone else? Why don’t you credit that someone? It’s funny you want me to go to your stream but you said streams weren’t enough for Toxic-Mario to defend himself. You have double standards and it’s really ironic when we think about your crusade against Tox.

I can give you a whole stream recording of me using the rigs then you’ll see yourself that I edit them enough to make them original. You just said it yourself, you’re not an artist so you don’t know the struggle of doing a comic day in and day out. Plus my other comic is all drawn from scratch, I’m just trying to make Past Sins look better so people can enjoy it better.
 
And again, ask any digital comic artist and they also have assets they re-use every time.

Maybe I’m not an artist but real artists draw characters every page. Just because you cheat in a different way doesn’t make you good. You said you admit to using puppets but I checked your recent comic page description and there is no word mentioning use of puppets. Don’t tell me you wrote it once in a status post or old journal. No one is going to look for it. You try keeping that info from viewers because you know it’s not how real artist should create their works.

Atleast I admit I’m using puppet rigs and don’t deny it. Not like someone else you’re white-knighting for. And do tell me I’m using bases for something else than my comic, I want to see you try.  
Comic artists use assets all the time and atleast mine differ and aren’t always the same, would like to see you try and draw Celestia and Nightmare Moon show-style every page. Plus the puppet rigs I use aren’t that exact to the show, I have to edit loads of stuff to get it right.

It’s cheating. Tracing someone else’s artwork and tracing someone else’s puppet rig are pretty much the same thing. Real artists don’t use puppet rigs and bases for characters in their artwork. They draw all of them from scratch. It’s ironic that you have the nerve to call people out on tracing.

I’m still sketching out every panel. And yeah, I use puppet rigs but as bases for the body. I edit them enough so they’re original enough. I mean, you can’t find any puppet rigs or screenshots of Celestia in an “apple bucking” pose.

In the meanwhile I’m already way better than this. This was submitted years ago.

Backgrounds in this comic are drawn extremely lazily. Books are made with single round brush stroke. The artist didn’t even bother to make them into rectangulars. And there is literally no 3D illusion. It all looks like it’s painted on the wall. The show backgrounds have actually some 3D illusion in them despite being rather flat too. It seems SaturnStar14 is going for quantity over quality. The thickness on characters makes them look like cardboard cutouts. They look nothing like ponies from the show. Then there are dialogues. Simply smashed onto panels, not too easy to read. Panel 16 has Celestia’s dialogue way too small. Dialogues should be in speech bubbles.
