It wasn’t in February, it was in September, September 25th to be precise when Fire Storm had finally gotten into college… Soarin had convinced his son that if he went to College, there’d be better opportunities to become a Wonderbolt as well as other opportunities in sports and athletics. Despite Fire’s wholehearted hatred for education, he couldn’t deny his father’s comeback on the matter that there’ll be better opportunities for him and his interests of athleticism there.
 

 
September 25th, 2036… It was finally the National Cooking Day in Ponyville and what the hell had Fire Storm gotten himself into this time?! Let’s go back in time here…

After Jewel had saved Fire Storm from ACTUAL fire, she decided to quickly and swiftly make an escape. With her blueberry and grape colored mane flowing freely in the breeze, she pressed a button on her S.M.I.L.E. agency watch and swung from building to building with a paralyzed Fire Storm clutching onto her behind hardly.
 
When they had finally gotten up onto a roof to safety, Fire Storm still repeatedly kept shaking like a scared dog. What had just happened to him? He had almost gotten himself killed and he even killed other ponies… He hadn’t meant to!
 
“WELL?” The cream colored unicorn snarled at him. “What do you have to say for yourself?”
 
Fire paused for a moment, then said. “Who are you? My mother?” He blushed furiously in embarrassment.
 
“Don’t use that childish sass on me! I can mother you if you’d like, but at least say you’re sorry or say what you’d do fix your reckless mistakes NEXT time. I mean, real ponies have actually gotten KILLED from your own mistake!”
 
Fire sighed, “I-I’m s-sorry…”
 
“Say that a bit louder, will you?”
 
“I’m sorry!”
 
“Louder…”
 
“Sorryyyyyyyyy!”
 
“LOUDER!”
 
“SORRRRRRRRRRRRRRYYYYYYYYYY!” Fire screamed at the very top of his lungs. Fire buried his head down in shame into the rocky, hard, solid cement of the roof.
 
“Better…” The mysterious mare had replied. “Your name, young stallion?”
 
“Fshhhtm.”
 
“Can you speak a bit clearer, dear?”
 
Fire lifted his head up slowly… “Fire Storm.”
 
“Well, that explains a lot… HOW IRONIC. But please do speak while looking into my eyes… Its considered rude not to.”
 
Fire didn’t want to show any signs of weakness in this mare’s eyes… She was just too beautiful and brave all at once. How could it be possible? To be both at once? In all his years of dating, Fire had never seen a mare who was both athletic and liked taking risks that was beautiful and feminine all at the same time. He’d only dated the typical tomboys who didn’t care about looks and had broken up with him due to the girl’s significant stupid choices.
 
Fire then realized he needed to turn around and look into her eyes. He was just like his EXs… His friends pressured him to overcook and overheat the food just for the fun of it. That and stallions NEVER listened to the directions unlike mares did!
 
“Dear, are you actually… Crying?” The mare asked.
 
“Yes…” Fire said. “I’m a mess… Just a hot, hot mess… I didn’t want to show any signs of weakness, especially in front of such an amazing pony like you. You just… Saved my life and saved other ponies’ lives and I can’t thank you enough for fixing what I wrongly messed up.”
 
“Well…” Her pearl-like sapphire eyes widened. “I thought you’d be a bit of an ego here since you’re Rainbow’s son and you’re one of the biggest athletes in Equestria. Either I was wrong or you just learned a very valuable life lesson.”
 
“H-how do you know about me?” Fire asked. “Who are you?”
 
“I know every pony, dear. I’m a spy. My name is Jewel and you’re not allowed to go around telling every pony though! GOT IT?”
 
“Got it, ma’am!” Fire saluted.
 
“You don’t have to be so formal with me by any means, but I’ve heard you’re a bit of an ego and a jock, so I am truly surprised right now.”
 
“I-am J-Jewel…” Fire rubbed the back of his mane and blushed, then slapped his face with his hoof, knowing he had just been a sappy piece of sh*t. “I-I mean, I am… I uhh… We can go to the gym sometime and I can show you some of my moves?”
 
“Moves?” Jewel questioned. “Now what are these moves you dare say, Mr. Bigshot?”
 
“Race me to the gym on the other side of Ponyville RIGHT NOW, in fact, and you’ll see… Bigshot!” Fire exclaimed.
 
“Oh, it’s on!” Jewel replied.

“Who?” Spectral Rush asked, walking into the room with Arctic.
 
“I- uhhuhhuhuh… Was just talking to dad, guys! You guys don’t need to be involved!”
 
“That sounds exactly like how I fell in love with your mother…” Soarin said, ignoring the others coming in. “I was pretty much the damsel in distress when she saved me and she became the mare that melted my heart.”
 
“WHAT?!” Fire exclaimed. “I AM NOT a damsel in distress! I’m a rough, mean, fighting machine and I just think she’s pre- I-I mean a bit cute is all.
 
“The way you described her to me didn’t seem like just that…” Soarin replied with a snarky expression on his face.
 
“Oooooh!_{” Spectral Rush cooed. “Fire’s in looovvvvveeeee!”
 
Arctic laughed and whispered into Spectrum’s ear, “Well… As long as he doesn’t break up with her like he did with his other 28 girlfriends…”
 
“I HEARD THAT!” Fire yelled. “And I AM NOT in love with her. I-I mean, we just met. She’s just a friend.”
 
“Sure she isssss.” Spectral Rush teased.
 
Fire snarled. “Shut it, Spectral. You couldn’t find a boy who’s in love with you even if you tried…”
 
“OUCH. Bro, you burn…”
 
“Yeah, I do}” Fire replied.
