I think it’s just stems from the general assumption that men who put on women’s clothing are somehow gay, which AFAIK is false because research has shown the majority of crossdressing men are straight. I don’t help the stereotype being in a relationship with another crossdresser, but we aren’t together because we want to do lewd things in dresses.
 
Personally, my biggest issue with the portrayal of crossdressing is how it’s seen more as a kink and not an expression of gender, and men who crossdress somehow want to be sex slaves to women and men or retarded dumb blonde sluts. I don’t shame those who want that, but I just want to see more respect for those who love to crossdress because it makes them feel beautiful and sexy and it’s the kind of gender they love to express themselves as in a respectful way.

From my experience most real crossdressers are bi or straight so it seems odd that the fandom equates it to a thing for gay characters.

We need more straight crossdressers like him.
