If the pony first learned the fact from book #1, then later read the same fact in book #2, they technically didn’t learn the fact from book #2, since they already knew it. So if book #1 was erased they would forget, but not if book #2 was erased.
I was thinking it sounded like a stand power too :p

Okay I know I already made a JoJo reference on a different picture while checking out the new comic but that weirdly specific of an ability sounds like a Stand power.
Plus he seems to have the ability to summon copies of creatures from books, so he essentially gains a Low level clone of the creatures he’s erasing.
His magic makes anypony who read the books forget the information he erases.
This does not bode well.
