If y is year, then his age is any negative number. If y is a coordinate (ie, standard xy plane) then the expression means nothing without any other x y relation. For
t = -45(x2)y, you can make t be anything.
But
t = -45x(2y) can only be negative for real numbers x and y.
Same for
t = -45x^2
If you allow imaginary numbers, you can plug in values of x and y that allow t to be anything.

Aren’t typical teenagers usually very averse towards anything they deem “for kids”? They all about swearing and smoking.
Considering that this has gone on for almost ten years now I’d wager most are in their mid to late twenties if not some in their 30’s.
