Origami based on pieces from the amazingly adorable Moonstuck Tumblr to show that these are in fact, possible.Every model is folded from one uncut square sheet of paper. I used square sheets of sack paper treated with methyl cellulose. So far, each model has been made from 25cm squares though the more complicated models are typically made from a thinner version of the paper. I drew on one side of each square a rough analogue of the map with a sharpie. [link]

Cartographers Surfboard - One corner of the square converted into a fin and placed at the center of the board.
Cartographers Floating Island - It’s as easy as two crimps and some mountain folds to lock it together.
Cartographers Muffler - Simple boxpleat on a 9x9 grid
Cartographer’s Coolest Shades Ever - I bet they stay on the face due to sheer coolness.
Cartographer’s Cannon - Crease pattern found here: [link] Pchoo!
Cartographer’s Element of Courage - An appropriately simple and elegant design. Pinched curved creases helps it hold its shape. And Moonstuck finally reaches its happy conclusion.”

Well, technically, it’s related to a web comic about ponies.
So…
(This is mentioned in the description, by the way. Just thought you’d like to know.)
Yes, on the source.
Translation: I can’t read
Ah I was just wondering what this had to do with ponies beyond the crown.
EDIT: … and I just noticed that your post is three years old. Looks like a reupload.
Edited because: Oops.
Fucking awesome.
I have nothing else to say.
Thanks. Well, now that I know everything I have to know, I have to say it: those are beautiful pieces of papercraft
In the tumblr strip Moonstuck, little Woona kept folding her map into hats and various other items. Cahoonas reproduced each one with paper in real life.
