Ruby grins as she picks a box at random and carefully pries it open, making sure to make as little noise as possible lest she be caught.
The first one she opens contains packs of grain. The next one contains bottles of chemicals she couldn’t possibly pronounce. She then opens a third one and spies oils and lubricants for machinery. The last contains some medium sized machinery parts. It’s sort of fun guessing what might be inside really.
Ruby ponders what she could steal from this, but then Barber’s voice nags at her from the back of her head. The mare taught her a bit about stealing, one point being that you should always have an escape plan, and base your haul on that.
No sense in stealing something if you can’t carry it far, or worse, can’t escape quickly with it.
Ruby glances around the buildings from her perch high on the boxes, and sees that there are only two entrances. The one she came in which is just a regular door, and the one all the dockworkers are around, which is a large, sliding door with a big lock.
Looking around more, Ruby finds that she could probably prop open a window, but that the warehouse is so high she doubts she could get in or escape from it. At least not without a ladder of some sort.
