I think they redesigned Rainbow Blaze to become Bow Hoot Hoof. They have similar colors. Either that or Rainbow Blaze is Dash’s cousin/brother/uncle.

…Nnnooo, the Apple Parents really are going to appear in a flashback episode in Season 7. My guess is that Old Grand Pear will be a vaguely Cajun-sounding grandfather who comes for a visit and tells the Sweet Apples a story about how the Apple Parents met and fell in love.

That’s the sad truth about headcanons. Like Hasbro and DHX really care of what internet bronies think. Remember. Personally, if they actually do show up in present time, and not in a flashback. I’ll be really disappointed. Because of the obvious hints and scenes throughout the series, it wouldn’t make much sense if they decided “Oh here we are! we were gone for no reasonable explanation” Can you spell worst parents of the year?! XD. but one thing i won’t do is jump on the drama bandwagon. the debut of Equestria Girls and Twilicorn in 2013 was ridiculous enough. Screw that noise.
 
PS, Hasbro decides what they want when it comes to MLP. Not the fandom, That’s why i never jumped on the Twilicorn hate bandwagon because that’s what some didn’t want. And it really turned out for the better, S4 and S5 were great! Remember, you’re free to stop supporting the product at any time.

All the overzealous types of bronies will lose there shit when there headcanons are proven wrong from the revealing of the parents, even though headcanon by definition is “Used by followers of various media of entertainment, such as television shows, movies, books, etc. to note a particular belief which has not been used in the universe of whatever program or story they follow, but seems to make sense to that particular individual, and as such is adopted as a sort of personal canon.” so the fact that headcanons are made up means that by default there is a VERY little chance of headcanons being canon and that bronies shouldn’t be this overzealous about there theories on the show and realize that MLP is Hasbro’s intellectual and they choose what is canon or non-canon. sorry I just get so peeved when these sorts bronies get triggered just because there clopfics or fanart have been proven to be incorrect.

Do you mean about Applejack’s and Rainbow Dash’s parents? All the fanart and fanficiton written about them prior to their reveal was written on information we had at the time. I don’t believe that seeing what they are like in the show would change that much.
 
For new fanart and stories after those episodes, people could just draw them in like they were always there :D
