What part of this is ‘80s style? Sweatshirts (the word “hoodie” hadn’t been invented) were generally gray unless they were printed with a team name, and were not considered fashionable–and they definitely never fit like that. Leggings were not worn as pants with the crotch exposed except at aerobics class. If they were worn as pants without a skirt, they were worn with long shirts that came to the upper thigh. And they were never matte black–think metallic purple or gold. With the clothes she’s wearing, she ought to have a terrycloth sweatband. She has no bright blue eyeshadow or dangly earrings, and she has bangs but they’re not sticking up. This honestly looks a lot more ’90s to me.

It’s not Cupcake Slash that’s 80’s Style. It’s the background. EG Cupcake Slash is almost always drawn wearing that outfit because it makes her more identifiable.
