I like the new designs, makes them feel very moth-like. I just find the colour palettes too strong. Ponies look alright with bright colours, but the changelings just don’t fit them, even with the new bodies.

That’s the biggest problem with mlp, it’s too rushed and ends up killing the mood. And i don’t think they’ll change that anytime soon

I have said it plenty of times I have no problem with people liking the designs, people have different tastes.
People disliking the designs seems to be the majority, even pictures that are just art of them with no commentary have had something in the descriptions sometimes saying they preferred the old ones more.
It’s not just the way they look I have a problem with it’s the writing behind them, Twilight becoming an alicorn never bothered me because it was just giving her wings and a title and after three years of development I felt she earned it even if the method was rushed. Starlight is something I am somewhat willing to forgive but she still has a completely lazy and awful backstory along with next to no real development yet still getting the glory.
The new changeling aren’t a light change like with Twilight where it’s at least still Twilight these things erase the old ones and replace them and the change that made it happen was another BS magic solve all solution instead of a real lesson or something with merit. As I have said I feel the writers had another idea but were forced to change it, they gave Thorax different wings and gave us an expedition dump that being around ponies that care about him made him no longer hungry, this implies that they were going to go this direction with the rest of them but then it was completely done away with and was completely pointless.
The changelings were interesting because of their design and anatomical functions such as feeding on love, their coloring was a good contrast to the brightness of everything else in the show and let them stand out but now they’re practically glorified backgrounds. They no longer have any narrative importance and are made mundane, they no longer need to feed on love in a way that matters they could have had it given to them freely as was implied in the episode but now they can just feed on each other making it pointless they might as well be able to eat regular food.
The changelings were a welcomed addition to the show and was one of the reasons I kept watching the show but now they are gone besides Chrysalis who is now no better than a team rocket villain trope with no army and no real motive like she had before, making her one dimensional just like the other villains.
These things were a mistake and I’m never going to pretend they were done well.

A lot of people complained about alicorn twilight and yet here it is, a lot of people complain about starlight and yet here it is. There are people that like it and there are people that don’t, and it seems they think that “if there’s a part that likes it than keep it up”. That or the fact that their main goal is the little girls, if they like it then screw all the rest.
I learned to get over twilight being an alicorn and starlight’s reason to be evil because it wasn’t going to change. But that is just me and you think differently and that’s alright.

I’m only being rude because you were being rude first, my comment here was a joke and you responded to it as “bronies are just butthurt”.
Because if I filter these things I can’t see the funny images people make about how ugly they are, also like I said I don’t comment on ones that are just art so there is no need to filter it.
I won’t forget about it because like I said it deserves it, people will let it fade away and act like it was the best thing ever no matter what because the show “is perfect” but I like to think when you screw up this badly it should be mentioned sometimes and criticized, otherwise it will just keep happening.

out of that, i dont really care that much about the series, so the new ones dosent bother me and i dont care about it, its there, and we cant do nothing about it, just deal whit it and hope chrysalis has a good comeback

You mean why can’t they change their opinion to be just like yours and like it for no reason?
It’s a shit design and ruins one of the best species in the entire show, why would I not call it out for being shit?
I don’t go to Thorax images and mention it’s shit but I do when the image intentionally rubs it in like this one or if it’s an image criticizing them. So yeah I’m not gonna stop disliking these things anytime soon nor do I have a reason to considering it deserves it.

You mean people still have eyes and don’t always overlook stupid decisions. Seriously just because you don’t like the changelings doesn’t mean those that did are butthurt just because their opinion doesn’t align with yours.
I was willing to overlook starlight and pass off season 6 as the new writers just needing some more time but this pushes it over what I’m willing to just overlook, they fucked up and I’m going to hold it to them for doing it, I gave their other stuff a pass but not this one.
