Oh I see
Normally, when you scream, there is a short delay time from when you start screaming to when you reach full loudness. He cut the delay out through editing.
Maximum Volume?
You can thank William Hanna for that. He recorded a scream which was later cut in such a way that it started off at maximum volume instead of building up to it.
I find the sound level change very annoying, especialy when it switches at the ad breaks eg:
“I..I’m Fluttershy..[squeak] [wimmper]”
“HI! I’M BARRY SCOTT! BANG! AND THE DIRT IS GONE!”
I’m not scared of the character. It’s only his voice
Then turn the volume down some, I know of more modern shows that can go from heard to hear at all to ear piercing in less then a second.
Something this old you have to have have the volume high for it to be too loud as they know not to be both too low or too high, so they stan in a good range.
Edited
Idea! Get one of those “use your own sound” alarm clocks (your phone or something), never be late again! (you’ll never sleep, afraid of when that sound will occur!)
no pun intended
Yes. I’m more of a guy who likes quiet things but hearing that scream is too loud for my ears
Agreed. I actually watched some episodes of that show when I was a kid.
