I was originally making this for one of the Newbie Artist Training Grounds prompts, but I plum ran outta time. I really did want to finish though, so here we have Luna being really dedicated to that sand castle version of Canterlot.Like always, I tried new methods for making things, like with the shiny outer layer of her hair. I also found a neat way to add the star sparkles to the mane. And finally, FINALLY, I got one of my older trials at adding cutie marks to work. I only had to dig through an hour of tutorials and troubleshooting to figure out why it wasn’t working the way I wanted. Only downside is that the new method doesn’t work well on Luna’s type of cutie mark since it’s supposed to cover her whole flank. But at least I got it working for future ponies. This was also my first time showing magic in action. I can already think of some other ways to try and model it, but this one’s not bad.So much stuff to try out in Blender! Enjoy, folks!
