It’s easier said than done, I guess.
The thing about convention vendor halls is that they don’t want to police the fandom, and it’s not their place to. They are an event, not a fandom army. They will not turn someone away from vending just for being a bit of a dick on the internet, as disappointing as that can be.
With that said, there’s not much you can do about people who don’t care. Nobody can force him to. Guess the best thing would be to accept that he’s not going to change and try to forget about him, eh?
No, I wasn’t confused :) I understood it. It’s just that I find it unfortunate that they allow such low quality-artists in their vendor hall and from what I heard, not the most kindest also.
And I’m throwing this out in all honesty because I know he’s “not gonna care”.
I think you’re a bit confused.
What you said was “If conventions would look at their vendor’s stuff then NO ONE will ever accept him anymore”. It would be strange for a convention to accept a vendor without knowing what they were selling. I told you (from personal experience having worked at conventions for a decade now) that they always look into the content they are allowing into their vendor space - which means conventions have been allowing him to vend knowing full well what his artwork looks like all this time.
Will this change now? Who knows. Perhaps standards are rising.
Yeah unfortunately…
But they do. Every single time.
You’re barking at a dead tree, my man. Toxic will always ignore critics instead of accepting it. Worst trait in an artist ever. If conventions would look at their vendor’s stuff then NO ONE will ever accept him anymore.
You have no idea how to draw unguligrade anthro’s legs and casually reject a suggestion to take an example from someone who knows better? I’m pointing you to a much better picture of a way better artist, something that could maybe inspire you and you just say “no” because you prefer to stay with your deformed anthro parody? Sure, do what you want but no wonder you never make any progress.
Yeeeeah no
that sure was something
And some can’t give it properly. My brother was given criticism for his art, and it was just … awkward.
[ Have a read for yourself ]
damn :S, critisism is ment to help in improvemnt, as an artist its the best thing you can recive because it helps you to aim for more and archieve better results, i dont get why some people can’t take it properly :S
There’s more than Toxic who can’t take criticism.
I was blocked by an artist; according to them it was my constructive criticism that was the issue. (I said what I thought looked strange, and how to improve it, without being condensing).
if only he listened to some critique to improve instead of ignoring and troll… i know he can’t go that deep on details since he doesnt have a drawing tablet but you can make something simple and nice without one
Don’t start witch hunts off hunches or ~memes~. If you can’t contribute with information or criticism, don’t contribute with just a borderline pathological lusting for “drama”.
Out of line.
You have a hate boner against the guy, we all get it; dropping down to the level of childish insults and attacks isn’t going to improve anything at all.
@Toxic-Mario
Your derisive attitude for the last months is why a lot of people react to you / your work in such an aggressive manner. I’m not your life coach but this isn’t how one should deal with accusations of improper behaviour or criticisms.
It does matter.
If this isn’t a trace, then great work.
Does it matter at this point? Everyone knows what kind of person he is now.
So people haven’t confirmed this to be a trace?
Wow people like to stir up drama for no reason
Those are my two cents, take ’em or leave ’em.
