Alright, but claiming “DERPI” is somehow a pony reference too is an extreme stretch, when Cambridge Polymer Labs (who’s receiving DERPI’s funding) is nowhere near the Atomatoys factory. Plus, “Derpy” isn’t a word exclusive to MLP, regardless.

You do know that doesn’t automatically not make it a reference? The person might have been real and that’s great but they also put him in the pony factory and he’s the only named super mutant there. The location and name both being in the same location is hardly a coincidence. It’s a double reference to the show and the person.

There was also an homage to Evan in the Nuka World DLC and it was straight up Evan, his looks and personality as well as his name. There was no other reference because it was just an homage a self insertion into the game. Big Mack was a super mutant (a hostile one you have to kill at that) in a pony factory, it’s a reference to the show as well the person, you can’t just say it isn’t despite everything in the game itself pointing to the fact it is.

the factory is guarded by a super mutant named Big Mack

That’s not an MLP reference.

“Big Mack is named after “Big Mack” Pryor, who met the staff at Bethesda Studios while battling relapsed leukaemia at the NIH in Bethesda. He died Dec 27, 2015, aged 21.”

Please do more research before you call something a “pony reference” when it’s clearly not.

To counter another one, “DERPI” is a jab at “DARPA”.

Furthermore, where are these references to Pinkie Pie and paint drying, or Giddyup Buttercups being made in more than just yellow? I’ve just beaten the main story, about to finish Far Harbor, and haven’t seen evidence of any of these, other than a Giddyup Buttercup ad being a huge misrepresentation of the actual product;

I am well aware about mlp references and the wanting a pony “joke”. But I was referring to the sunshine and rainbows being Foe reference is more than questionable, I mean it would be cool but if it was, but it probably isn’t reference to day of sunshine and rainbows and more probably is part of bigger “joke”. For clarification see my previous post.

It’s definitely a MLP reference it’s a running joke throughout the game your character mentions wanting a pony several times in his dialogues, then there’s all the direct references like Pinkie Pie watching paint dry, making new buttercup toys with multiple colors and butt marks and the factory is guarded by a super mutant named Big Mack, there’s a trader named Opal who lives right next to a clothing store, one of the locations has the acronym DERPI when you look at in your map.

Kinda hard to take all that and say the pony dialogue stuff isn’t a reference, though maybe you just meant Fo:E instead of MLP.

I think they wanted to do something amongst the line of priority joke. Something like : What no epic victory and like a next you are going to tell me I am not getting shotgun that shoots swords. But to be honest, my first reaction to it was the same, my mind went instantly with foe.

I think, sunshine and rainbows is pretty common term in language. Don’t get me wrong, it would be extremely awesome if it was reference to FOE. But probably is not, they would do something more pointing.

That was a reference to MLP I always do that dialogue with him, basically your character says he was hoping he’d get a pony at the end of all this and Preston says if he finds one you’ll be the first to know.
