Artist’s Description
 
After a late night spook, Bubble and Mako thought it might be best if they both got some rest as Mako offered to walk Bubble back to her parent’s house. Along the way, the two chatted and giggled and laughed, telling about silly dreams and embarrassing stories to past the time. On the incline of the hill up to the old light house on a cliff side, the conversation died down as Bubble made her way, not to the front door, but towards the back. She’d look back at Mako and put a finger up to her lips to tell him to shush. A playful grin stretched across her face as she grabbed hold of the gutter on the side of the wooden and brick house and started scaling the wall, making up to the second story roof.
 
Mako would chuckle, watching the mare climb p the gutter. Once she made it safely to the roof, he looked at the gutter curiously before he grabbed hold with both hands, bracing his paws on the house and started climbing to get to Bubble.
 
Mako: once on the roof Huh… Never thought I’d be doing that again.
 
Bubble: grins It’s harder when it’s raining. The roof gets pretty slick… as she opens the window on the roof and crawled inside Watch your head. as she stood on the bed, holding up the decorative fishing net
 
Mako: looks up at it and his eyes go wide …. Bloody death trap… before chuckling and stepping inside
 
Bubble: giggles as she let down the net and sat on the bed with a plop Welcome to my room~ My parents are asleep downstairs so we’ll have to be quiet. My dad gets kind of… grumpy when I bring ponies up here, hehehe ^^;
 
Mako: snickers and looked around the room I think and father would. But it’s just cuz he cares. mumbles My dad was and probably still IS a grouch… smiles, before sitting down next to Bubble on the bed
 
SQUEAK! Mako would jump and reach underneath him, revealing the small orca plushie Mako had won at the carnival.
 
Bubble: covering her mouth and giggling Hehehe, thanks~
 
Mako: chuckles, looking around in silence for a bit. Eventually he turned to look at Bubble …. Are you gonna be able to sleep…?
 
Bubble: ear twitches, still looking as tired as before. She’d put on a smile and nod … Yeah, I should be fine. If you need to go you can… Thank you for walking me back.
 
Mako: smiles My pleasure… as he got up and started for the window, but then stopped. His ear gave a twitch, deep in thought for a moment …. Actually…. Mind if I try something? … to help you sleep?
 
Bubble: looks up at Mako tilting her head. Having had these night terrors before, she knew that she was likely not going to get any sleep after Mako left anyways … Sure, I’m game.
 
Mako: turns around Lay down and get comfortable. as he walked over to the bed
 
Bubble: raises an eyebrow before doing as she’s told. She’d kick the blankets down at the opposite end of the bed before lying back on the pillow Are you going to join me? smiling sweetly
 
Mako: smiles, sitting on the edge of the bed Only if you want me too… And if you don’t laugh at me for this. chuckles, rubbing the back of his neck My, uhm… I guess you could say my third dad taught me this… Whenever I had nightmares.
 
Bubble: scoots over to give Mako room to lay down I wouldn’t have asked if I didn’t want you too.
 
Mako: blushes a bit, before lying down next to Bubble on his side … Now don’t laugh. perking his eyebrows and pointing at her
 
Bubble: snuggles up close to Mako, wrapping her arm around him Uh huh… No laughing. Got it~ as she smirks
 
Mako smiled as he draped an arm around Bubble, holding her close. He leaned over her a bit so his muzzle nestled into her hair. Bubble heard Mako start to purr softly in his chest before hearing what sounded like humming, until….

Idir thuaidh is idir theas
 
Idir thiar is idir thoir
 
Idir am is idir áit…”
 
Bubble’s ear would twitch as she listened. She wouldn’t say anything for a while but her breathing would start to slow, her eyes getting a little heavy.
 
Bubble: Mmm.. That sounds pretty… I feel like I’ve heard it before…
 
Mako would smile, as he continued on, rubbing Bubble’s back gently… 
“~Casann sí dhom
 
Amhrán na farraige
 
Suaimhneach nó ciúin
 
Ag cuardú go damanta
 
Mo ghrá…” Mako gently nuzzle the top of Bubble’s head, starting to get sleepy himself. But he’d push the feeling away to keep singing. Already exhausted from a long day, it didn’t take very long for Mako’s deep soothing voice to put Bubble to sleep in his arms. After a bit longer, Mako would glance down and see that she has fallen asleep. As much as he wanted to, he felt should go. Still continuing to sing, he gently and slowly slid off the bed, carefully removing Bubble’s arm from around him. After sliding the orca plush in her arms and gently pulling up the covers over her, Mako placed a soft kiss on the mare’s forehead. As he backed away to the window and climbed out, he finished the song… 
“~Idir cósta, idir cléibh
 
Idir mé is idir mé féin
 
Tá mé i dtiúin…”
 
Before he closed the window quietly and left.
 

 
And so it begins~ Being a sea pony, it doesn’t surprise me that Mako would have a BEAUTIFUL singing voice. swoons I had a lot of fun pitching dialogue for this with Blackblood-Queen Be sure to watch her gallery for up coming pictures related to MakoLee!!
