Spike didn’t have a problem when it came to discussing feeling up mares’ backsides. He’s only angry because the topic’s Starlight this time, not because it’s a moral stance for him.
sure, they are, but they don’t know anything about Starlight. All they have to go off is her looks. And there’s nothing wrong with noting people’s physical aspects. Zephyr’s an ass though. Undoubtedly. But spike was being spazz.
I… Never said he was mad at the others. Though they do feel awkward about Spike’s outburst. Like not in the “yeah zephyr was wrong” way but like the “oh man is her seriously doing this” way.
To be fair, he seems mad at Zephyr and not the other two.
In all honesty, Spike is overreacting a bit. I mean, I understand why he’s upset. But Zephyr is a jerk, he shouldn’t let it bother him too much. I mean, no one got upset when Zephyr implied he slept with his own sister. But yeah, you’re right, there is nothing to really defend, they weren’t insulting her. Sure, was rood, but again, Zephyr is an ass.
He isn’t defending her, as there is nothing to defend her from. There is no accusation, defamation, libel or plan being made to inflict harm of any kind upon her, merely a comment about her attractiveness or one attractive feature about her (she got that booty). Whether or not that comment was phrased in a crass manner is entirely unimportant.
This is white knighting.
What Spike did after that, leaving the group that conducted itself in a manner that he disagreed with, was the correct response to that situation from the start.
