Really, the only reason the villains even let her stick around is none of them wants to be the one who chased away the kid of two of the most terrifying monsters in Equestrian history just in case those two ever escape Tartarus :P
Now I wanna see her with a powerful MacGuffin being sought by other villains
Keep in mind I’m saying she’s “harmless”. Not “useless”, “helpless”, or “powerless”. She’s just terrible at being evil :D

She can’t even do any of that. She’s literally harmless, in the sense that she’s not even as capable of doing harm as regular ponies are XD

clearly you have to have her completely accidentally and unintentionally start in motion a chain of events that almost destroys equestria.
Knowing her, it turns out her material is better for grass ponies than any plant food ever made.
Grass ponies: This feels amazing! Yay, Slimia!

Lol yep. Basically, she doesn’t know it and she would fight it with all her might, but destiny’s pushing her in the direction of being a hero instead.
And then it’s revealed that the disease helped all the ponies develop an immunity to an even WORSE disease!
And all the Oranges that she stole had been inflicted by a rare plant illness and were just about to be recalled. So she saved the farm-ponies a bunch of work~
She could always catch, and then spread a terrible disease.
…Or multiply herself and steal all of Equestria’s oranges.
She’s pretty much them. The only thing she has going for her is she has some serious villain cred from being the offspring of two pretty heavy duty villains.
On her own though, she has little to no means of actually harming someome (Outside of the most basic of things that even a regular pony could do much better than her), and perpetually horrible luck: even when she finds a legitimate means to be evil little things seem to conspire to make it not work out.
And then she became all mopey, like after she tried strangling Pinkie but was harmless.
So far, the only reason she gets away with any of this is the cops know the effort to arrest a pony who can ooze out of hoofcuffs or between bars just is not worth arresting for how minor her “crimes” are XD
She, of course, thinks they’re too afraid to fight with such a terribly powerful villain.
