That’s what I thought at first, but she has puffier and darker hair then firefly, and her cutie mark doesn’t resemble Firefly’s.

That being said, it does look a bit like her, and I’m still hoping for some origin of Equestria stuff to be in it. The worst thing a tie in movie can do is to create a plot that doesn’t have any connection to the main characters at all.
